They have 11 returning, assuming all do. 5 rookies who will make the team if they all show. Plus the possibility of a Gehl, Packard, Kelly...
Defence
9 defencemen currently, likely to see LaPlante gone, but 8 is still to many.
Goaltender
Missiaen starts, D'Agostini likely has the backup to lose.
Or trade it. Unless you know you can get someone good, why not flip it for something. Acquire another draft pick to start to build your team through trades. Twohey got a 2nd about four years ago and a 3rd two years ago for a pick in this range. Twohey said the past 2 years he didnt want to acquire picks, but there really is no better time. Kassian is more then likely gone after this year (if not this year), and after Spooner and most likely Puempel, there will be a huge drop off in talent among the forwards. He needs to start building this team through other ways then just the draft, this is not a championship challenger with the drafted players alone.
