The Petes have typically played well against the Wolves who appear to be in a bit of a state of disarray these days. Wondering if they'll give the start to D'Agostini tonight.

Was checking out the OHL website and more specifically the the Pete's stats. As many have pointed out team defense is a big problem. You can count the number of guys with a plus rating on one hand and not one is on the first two lines. This team has some talent but until the backend tighens up...

This should be an interesting game. The Rangers have been the best team in the OHL so far this season, they still only have 1 regulation loss. They've lost a couple guys to injury lately (Kelly being the big loss on the back end, Fanelli being the most obvious). The Petes have been playing pretty well lately, finding a way to win games that in years past they would find a way to lose. To be brutally honest I am not a big Kassian fan. Do I understand why he is the captain? Yes. Do I agree with it? Absolutely NOT. For three straight games in a row he has taken three really bad penalties. Bone head infractions if you ask me.

Unfortunately, it's not just the last three games that I have based this assessment on. Last year in the playoffs he continually disappointed me and probably a lot of his teammates ( I know he wasn't the captain back then). Specifically,...

Just wondering if there is any other message boards with regular Petes chatter on it? I've been on the Noof site, but this site and the aforementioned doesn't seem to have a lot of commentary on the actual games anymore. By no means is this a jab at the regular contributors, but the dialogue in here just isn't what is used to be. If you look at the last few posts you wouldn't even know who Peterborough played and/or the outcome of the games.

Holden traded to Erie for Chris Breen

Huge OA defenceman plus a conditional 6th.

I liked Holden this year, but hopefully this works out for us.

Holden would probably never get a shot on the PP here with Doornbosch, Sedlak and Braithwaite all returning next year, so finding a more stay at home guy plus a pick is a pretty nice deal. Conditional 6th at that which means it could move up. Although, that might say something about what Bassin thinks of Breen, but nice deal nonetheless.

Kyle Rankin

Rankin is playing for the Kanata Stallions of the CJHL, a team that has 1 win in 16 games and recently hired none other than Vince Malette to take over as their head coach.

With the three guys sent home and all the injuries the Petes have endured so far, the team would be in a position to offer him a lot more ice time at this point. I wonder if Rankin's had any second thoughts, given the way his season has gone so far. For what it's worth, Rankin has 7 goals and 13 points...

Road trips up north have ended up badly in the past (huntin' and drinkin' expeditions I'm thnkin' of) but for the Petes Kassian is hurt and maybe Puempel too. ouch

Does anyone know what is going on with this guy. He's our import player who, as far as I can tell is not listed as injured but is listed on the Petes team. He hasn't played a single minute in the regular season. If I have all of this correct why is the team not dressing him or made any kind of comment on his status? Can anyone enlighten us?

Thanks again Jason, looks like you need to get used to 50 shot nights. Without our goaltending where would we be. We need to make some roster decisions, too many sitting in the stands each night is making it difficult to create any chemistry. The best forward line has been the one kept together with Jack, David & Joey. Question About Tickets

Hey Petes Fans

I had a quick question about tickets, my friend has a 3 year old and 1 year old and is thinking about bringing them down with me to the game on the 29th. Whats the ticket policy in Peterborough. In Oshawa it is as long as they are 3 and or under and are sitting in a lap they attend free.

I for one have been very impressed with Walchesson's play through the first 5 games. He's a heart and soul guy who has to earn every shift (unlike a few guys on the club) and together with linemates West and Quesnele have been the Pete's most consistent line IMO. Pretty good for a guy that many had written off and suggested would not make the team. I hope he keeps it going!

I don't know if anybody else caught this but there is a new link on the Petes site called Borough Blog. Looks like whoever it is running it is doing a good job, don't know who the person is but it looks well done.
