i do not think were going to be a good team till we put more then a couple games together i think the team that wins the division will be a team that puts a streak together. dagostini wasn't great but he had no help are defence looked completely different from the 20 shot performance against plymouth . Thursdays game gave me hope for this defence but it was snatched after the 8-0 drubbing tonight kassian got back to floating around as he has done most of the year we have one good line...

the wjc roster looks pretty even.

much better effort shaky first but settled down and only allowed 26 shots and we got 43. should go 3 for 3 this week should see dagostini tomorow. love mishes new mask.

Half Way - what to do?

Here we are almost 1/2 way through the season and the trade deadline coming up in a month. What do you think we should do?
Currently we are at .500 2nd in the Division and 4th in the Conference.
I doubt Barrie will make anymore changes except maybe a tweak here or there as they are the class of the conference and leave nothing for next year with losing 11 players.
Majors are solid this year and should be tops next year and only losing 5 players.
Ottawa, Oshawa, Kingston...

he got demolished badly almost knocked out . wow never thought he would get owned that bad. it was on dec 5 hopefully he mans up and gets a rematch once his face heals that is .baulerice kinda put soryals shirt over part of his face for the first punch though and then soryal got off balance from there then he got caught between the side of the nose and the cheek i guess you would call it and he was done. i think thats his first ahl loss decisive loss anyway.

not completely unexpected atleast we got 5 goals windsor cant be happy whith there goaltending missiaen was horrible from the 1st shot on didnt give us half a chance missaen is going no where in pro if he plays like that. loved the hart showed in the third thought we grabbed some good experience a little bothered by mcraes goaltending decisions dagostini should of started in kitchener it is stupidity to start missaen in kitchener the n pull him middle third and think hes going to be...

imn sick and tired of this teams lack of progression and consistency if there was any other hockey options in this city this team would be in trouble. kassian has looked the same all year i do not think people should be asking why he didnt make the wjc camp but why should he lately besides the sarnia game he has showed no passion or intensity in sarnia he even backed out of a fight whith neuber.i think people should be asking why spooner wasnt invited he is one of the best players in this...

This is surprising to me. I would have thought he would at least get an invite to the camp. Tyler Cuma is an even bigger shock. To have McFarland there but not these guys is a joke. I understand people are going to say McFarland won't be on the team and he's there to get a taste for next year but Kassian could play this year and next.

Hopefully he uses this as motivation to prove the critics wrong and show how good he could be with a consistent game night in, night out....

I know there is someone who usually puts up Petes goals on their site (which is great) but does anyone know of any other way to get game highlights? SOmtimes CHEX puts there sports up on their website. Does St. Catherine news (for example) put Niagara Ice Dogs highlights up? Anywhere else? I guess it's the local cable channels who do the games around the O. Seems like a whole in the market that could be filled by an entrepreneur. But I digress.

Was it just me or did Buonomo seem like this was the first OHL game he had ever played last night. Was getting thrown around like a rag doll and not making smart plays out of his end at all. Not sure if this was just an off night or is there a trend starting here.

So, any reason to think this game will be different than the one in Barrie? There were a few minor injuries going into that game Saturday. Will Missiaen be in the lineup? Daley? Smith? maybe Theberge? I'm looking forward to seeing Barrie with their new additions. If the Petes are serious about competing in the playoffs and not just getting there, this is the kind of team they have to compete with.
